Hello all, While there are vast differences between Canadian and American drill and ceremonies the goal that I have envisioned for the books that I've written and am currently writing is for them to be usable for everyone around the globe. A list of the books that I have written in my lengthy introduction and I would again like to list them here with a little more explanation. You can find my books by using the link in my signature.
Cd Orbital Mix 7 2012. Exhibition Drill for the Military Drill Team Vol I: this is the first book that I wrote and has basic ideas for creating an exhibition routine and also details how to write a routine from scratch. The World Drill Association Adjudication Manual and Rule Book: this book outlines how to judge all aspects of military drill. Here in America there have been 'systems' used that have never taken into account the performance as a whole and the individual parts. This book breaks down the 'what' and the 'how' of the four captions of judging drill. The WDA offers certification for judges in the four captions: Overall Effect, Composition Analysis, Equipment and Movement/Marching. There is also a timing and penalties judge but that is not a caption.
Continuing Education for the WDA Judge: The WDA Manual (above), gives the reader an in-depth look at each caption. This book however, gives the prospective judge the tools necessary to apply what was learned in the Manual. Exhibition Drill for the Military Drill Team Vol II: I hope to publish this book this summer, 2010, and contains a couple of surprises for the military drill world. The Honor Guard Manual: Based on the training that I've received in the United States Air Force serving on Base Honor Guard nits around the world, this book is meant to a complete training aid for any honor guard units across America. (Canadians may find it helpful since it entails training for pall bearers, color guards, firing parties, cordons and much more.) I hope to publish this book before the end of 2010.
