Just wasn't sure whether or not it was that important to be tapered, given the minimal pressure the stabilizer is exposed to, in comparrison with a an actual shock absorber. I just replaced all my shocks with Bilstien heavy duty's and have the Bilstien 5100 stabilizer itching to be installed. Center links like all steering linkages are case hardened. Drilling a hole will micro-crack the outside and weaken the link significantly. Your better off buying one with the appropriate provisions. Safety First.
